Our campsite welcomes nature lovers, families and outdoor enthusiasts. With the beach 4 km away, the Authie dunes and the Marquenterre ornithological park 10 km away as the crow flies, it’s the ideal starting point for exploring the Baie de Somme’s most beautiful natural sites.
From the campsite, a cycle path takes you safely to the coast, while a hiking trail takes you through fields, meadows and pastures of the Picardy region.

The mini-farm and its animals
Nature camping means animals. At Camping Paradis Les Roses, the mini-farm is a favorite attraction for children – and adults. Horses, donkeys, goats and ducks have taken up residence on the campsite and are easy to approach. A simple and authentic contact with the animal world, far from zoos and glass windows. In the mornings, feeding the animals quickly becomes a favorite ritual for little holidaymakers.
A fishing pond
Rod in hand, feet by the water, time stretches. The campsite’spond is a place of absolute calm, ideal for introducing children to fishing without a licence, or simply to recharge your batteries away from the hustle and bustle. The natural beaches of the Picardy coast
Between Quend-Plage and Berck-sur-Mer, the Picardy coastline offers fine sandy beaches bordered by unspoilt dunes. Plage du Marquenterre(St Quentin en Tourmont) is the wildest in Picardy, with its imposing dunes and white sand. The southern beach of Quend-Plage-les-Pins offers a vast deserted expanse bordered by a long dune line. The Plage du Marais(Le Crotoy) unveils raw landscapes, punctuated by the spectacle of the tides.
Authie Bay, Baie de Somme’s little neighbor
Less well known than its larger neighbor, the Baie d’Authie has a wild, unspoilt character. Its Natura 2000-listed dunes offer breathtaking scenery and quiet hiking trails. Guided walks 10 min from the campsite(Fort-Mahon-Plage), where a naturalist reveals the secrets of the flora and fauna. Perfect for those curious about nature!

The transhumance of Henson horses
Every October, hundreds of Henson horses (horses from the Baie de Somme) cross the bay to their winter pastures. This event attracts thousands of visitors every year. Alternatively, all year round, theEspace Henson Marquenterre offers horseback rides between wooded dunes and wet meadows.
The Pointe du Hourdel, a rendezvous with seals
At the southern end of the bay, near Cayeux-sur-Mer, the Pointe du Hourdel is the best place to observe calf seals in their natural environment. It’s a spectacle that nature offers us all year round. At low tide, they bask on the sandbanks just a few meters from walkers. They can also be seen in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Le Crotoy.
The state forest of Crécy-en-Ponthieu
Just 30 km from the campsite, the Crécy forest is ideal for a day trip. With its 4,000 hectares of oak and beech trees, the largest forest on the Somme offers numerous hiking trails and a welcome coolness in summer. A welcome contrast to the seascapes of the bay.
